Whether you are interested in learning a new instrument or develop your abilities as a singer, Pleasant Grove has options for you. We have instrumental music courses at every level, so you can enter the program at any grade. Students who excel in these course may elect to join the Jazz Ensemble, and auditioned group of our top musicians that rehearses before school. We also have a choir program where your child can learn to sing, learn to read music, and develop as a vocal musician.
About the Director
Shaun Manley is 35 years old. He began his piano studies in Orange County at the age of seven. At age twelve, he moved to Redding and began studying piano and composition with Duane Hampton. In high school, he was a regular performer in the Touch of Classical Piano series. He attended the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, where he studied piano with world renown concert pianist Frank Wiens, earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went on to earn his California State Teaching Credential and accepted a teaching position immediately following commencement. Shaun currently lives in Rescue, CA with his beautiful wife and daughter. He is the Pleasant Grove Middle School Instrumental and Vocal Music Director, and the sole Educator for Shaun Manley School of Music. He also continues to perform, compose, and record music all around California.
