Welcome to Ms. Asher's Webpage
Hello, I am Charlotte Asher, a Resource Specialist Teacher at Pleasant Grove Middle School. I am in my 27th year of teaching students with special needs. I have worked in a variety of settings and for all ages. Among my degrees are: Master Degree in Education. I have a clear general education teaching credential, a mild to moderate teaching credential and a Resource Specialist Certificate.
I moved to Placerville this year. I live on a small farm with many rescued animals; miniature horses, miniature sheep, chickens, dogs, cats, and turtles/tortoises. I also have an organic orchard and garden. I enjoy cooking, preserving and crafting.

Class Syllabus
Math - We are working toward filling the mathematical gaps to get to pre-algebra.
English/Language Arts - We use a program called FLEX that has a teacher-led portion as well as a computer portion that increases fluency, comprehension, and accuracy. We also work extensively on writing skills.
Study Skills - This year, we are teaching those skills that will help the students have more success in their general education classes. We learn about how and where to study. What education is needed for various jobs. We work extensively on spelling and writing skills. We learn about the world, cultures, history, and science.
